Hiraizumi Motsu-ji YH closed ?

Is there an one who can confirm/deny that Motsu-ji Youth Hostel is closed since April 2008 ? Is there any alternative for a stay in Hiraizumi after the visite of Chuson-ji ? Thanks for any comment !

Strange, just as the city is applying for World Heritage status. Or maybe that is part of it - a clean sweep of less-than-perfect accommodations, or a 'cleansing' of a major temple of odd side business.

It doesn't look like a "closed for remodelling" situation.

Hiraizumi is now a hard place to find simple and pleasant accommodation. Other low-end ryokans have also closed. And it is such a nice area ...

I also suspected that it is due to the World Heritage application.

I regret this YH is closed now... It was a peacefull and convenient location ! I am already looking and finding some other small guesthouse for my friends.
