I would like invite my Japanese friend to see festival of Tanabata in July. Would it be all right if I will say "Tanabata isshoni ikimasen ka" or maybe there is more formal phrase?

So you want to "go" see a festival with your friend rather than to invite the friend to your home for a party or something, right? In that case, your Japanese is perfect and formal enough for a friend!
