5 people in 4 bed hostel dorm?

Hi we are traveling with 5 people, 2 of whom are a couple. Is it possible for the 5 to stay in a 4-bed hostel dorm? (the couple would share a bed)
are the beds super small? it's the only available accommodation for our desired dates in tokyo.

i dont know of any japanese beds being smaller than the sandard size, so yes it can be done. however the best thing to do is contact the hostel as you dont want to risk being kicked out, and offer to pay the cost for the extra person. if it is a japanese style room they may even be able to put an extra futon in there

This would be in contravention of the fire regulations. Don't be so cheap and get a separate room.
