Ferry to Matsuyama from N.Kyushu?

We'd like to get from Oita or Beppu to Miyajima. Would the best way (by ferry) be to go by way of Matsuyama and check out that city, before going across to Hiroshima and Miyajima?
We do like ferries.

There used to be a direct ferry from Beppu to Hiroshima, but unfortunately, it was discontinued.
Yes, going via Matsuyama would be the best way of getting from Beppu to Miyajima by ferry.

We want to take a ferry overnight from Osaka to Fukuoka (Kitakyushu?) first,then see N.Kyushu. Do you know a Ferry co. website in English for booking this trip?
Also the website (English) for the Beppu - Matsuyama - Miyajima trip?

There are no English websites. I recommend try to make reservations by phone or through a travel agent or hotel concierge.
