If you know of a great budget choice for this area please let us know...onsen optional, but we'd like to get around and explore this area from a good base, ryokan or guesthouse (yufuin,kurokawa,or...?)

...but we're still trying to find a budget place to stay - maybe Kurokawa Onsen would be good...? Anyone know of a place?

...it's seeming that a ryokan in our budget ( around Y6000 pp) ain't available in the Aso area, sadly. Hostels maybe if they have double rooms ??
