JR East Pass now covers Tobu Nikko? 2008/7/20 21:37
I heard the JR East Pass now covers the Tobu-Nikko Line (Nikko, Spacia Nikko, Kinugawa and Spacia Kinugawa trains). Can anyone confirm this?

I am deciding if I should get a JR East Pass for my 10 day Tokyo/Nikko/Matsumoto visit or to just buy the Nikko ticket seperately and use a Suica card instead.

It only covers the direct trains between Shinjuku Station and Tobu-Nikko, but not the ones between Asakusa and Tobu-Nikko.

In addition to being valid on the Shinjuku-Nikko trains, the JR East Pass is now also valid on the Hakutaka trains between Echigo-Yuzawa and Naoetsu and on the Izukyu trains between Ito and Izukyu-SHimoda:
