Early bus/train from Osaka to ITM 2008/7/21 10:21
Hello,

I have a domestic flight from ITM to NRT that leaves at 755AM on a Sunday morning.

I'll be staying with a friend in Ashiya near Nishinomiya.

What's the best way to get to ITM airport in time to make the flight?

Will trains be operating early enough?

I have a domestic flight from ITM to NRT that leaves at 755AM on a Sunday morning.

Check-in for domestic flights is possible until 15 minutes before departure. Being at the airport by around 7:00 is more than early enough. Trains start running around 5:00, so it would be no problem to get there on time:

(enter "Osaka Airport" as destination)

There is also a direct bus from Nishinomiya:

If the domestic flight is connecting to an international, can you still check in close to the time of departure?

of course NOT! you must check in at least 2 hrs before departure. After chin-in you have to go through security, immigration etc. often with hundreds of other passengers, and the gates can be a long way from the entrance to the secure area.

According to my knowledge, Itami Airport does not have any immigration facilities. I think you would be going through immigration and security at Narita Airport. Therefore, no early arrival is necessary at Itami Airport, even if you transfer to an international flight at Narita:
