Kangetsu-e ceremony at Daikakuji Temple 2008/7/30 16:50
Hello,

I am planning on attending the boat launch and tea party at the Kangetsu-e ceremony at Daikakuji Temple, Kyoto on Sep 15.

I found the official website with information (http://www.daikakuji.or.jp/english/event/index.html#about8) but there's no information if reservations are needed or even possible.

After a search on the Japanese site I found an e-mail address (saganet -at- daikakuji.or.jp) but I didn't get a reply from them.

Does anyone know how this works? I really want to attend this but I don't want to risk that I can't get tickets...

Thanks!

Regards,
W.

No advance booking 2008/7/31 23:56
Tickets will be sold only the date of the ceremony, from 4 o'clock in the afternoon. So, if you buy the ticket on Sep 15, just go to the temple by 4 o'clock on Sep 15.
It will be sold in front of Chokushi-mon gate.
You can buy up to 4 tickets at once.
Good luck!
