We'll be travelling with our 3 children, below 12 yrs old this nov. We plan Narita-Kyoto (3nites)-Osaka (2nites)-Mt Fuji(2nites-Karuizawa Ski Resort(1nite)-Tokyo(4nites). Does anyone know wat's the cheapest rail option? Or wat is the cost of train ticket from Narita to Kyoto? We're considering buying 1 way ticket Narita-Kyoto, then use the 7day JRP for the rest of the trip. Can anyone also recommend cheap accommodation in these cities, possibly below 14,000yen per nite? I'm hoping kids have discounts here... Would appreciate any comments. Thanks in advance!!

I recommend a 7-day Japan Rail Pass from the first day and pay separately for the small side trips to Mount Fuji or Karuizawa.
