Hakone to Gotemba and Thomas Land

Hi there,

We plan to stay at http://www.fujihakone.com in Hakone.

How does one get from the above Hakone hotel/ryokan to :
1. Gotemba Outlet (http://www.premiumoutlets.co.jp/en/gotemba/access/)
2. Thomas Land (http://www.highlandresort.co.jp/english/access/index.html)

I had been trying to plan my route. But I need help. Please bear in mind that we will have 3 kids with us and we intend to buy the 7-Day JR Pass as we'll do the Tokyo- Kyoto - Hakone - Tokyo route.

Two guesthouses are introduced on the above page. I assume you stay at the Fuji-Hakone location as opposed to the Moto-Hakone location.

How does one get from the above Hakone hotel/ryokan to :
1. Gotemba Outlet

Take the Odakyu Hakone Highway Bus from your guesthouse to Gotemba Station and then the free shuttle bus to the outlet.

2. Thomas Land

Take the Odakyu Hakone Highway Bus from your guesthouse to Gotemba Station and then the Fujikyu bus bound for Kawaguchiko Station to Fuji Q Highland, where Thomas Land is located.

The Japan Rail Pass will be of no use for this part of your trip.

If your kids do not have enough "Thomas" rides inside Thomasland in Fuji-Q Highland, you can ride the 40 min Thomas Express train to Otsuki for your connecting train back to Tokyo. The train compartments are decorated inside-out with Thomas cartoon characters.

Hi Uji,

For the bus journeys that's listed above from my guesthouse to Gotemba and from my guesthouse to ThomasLand, do you know how long it will each take?

I'll be travelling with my 3 kids. I don't know if they will last the bus journeys.

Still assuming that you will stay at the Fuji-Hakone Guesthouse rather than the Moto-Hakone location.

About one hour to the outlet.

About 90-120 minutes to Thomasland.
