Going to Fujiyoshida

Hi all, can anybody please advise how can we travel from Osaka with JR Pass to Otsuki then Fujiyoshida. We had planned at first to go Hakone but just found a place called Inn Fujitomita which sounded quite nice and wondering if its worth finding our way all there. From Fujiyoshida, we can take a taxi to the Inn.

It is much faster and virtually equally expensive to travel from Osaka to Gotemba by train and then catch a non-JR bus from Gotemba to Fujiyoshida. Traveling via Otsuki takes 1-2 hours longer. Here are more details:

Now we plan to take the direct Kintetsu night bus instead from Osaka to Fujiyoshida. I believe journey is 10hr 56min. I think its alright, considering we dont have to change many trains with our luggages.

Anyone with better ideas than what we have so far ? Would appreciate more options on this plan of ours.
