7 day pass or 14 day JR pass?

I arrive in Japan 23rd October, stay 1 night in Osaka go to Tokyo for 7 nights then back to Osaka for 6 nights-would like to see as much as possible-which train pass should I get? I want to go to Hiroshima, Mt Fuji and all the other main attractions

Why don't you get an open-jaw ticket? Then you can arrive in Osaka and leave from Tokyo. Ticket price should be the same. Use a JR West Pass for the first week for Osaka, Hiroshima, etc., then use a 7-day JR Pass to travel to Tokyo, although it may be cheaper to buy a regular ticket to Tokyo, then use local passes around Tokyo.
