japanese citizenship or long term visa 2008/8/12 11:43
my father is a japanese citizen from nagoya. have a halfbrother and a halfsister who are jaanese living there and another jap sister named mariko goto now living in the u.s.a. of another mother. i have a sister in the phils to our filipina mother. i have 2 daghters (husbands and wives) working here in japan thru nikeijin program and currently staying with one of them here in ibaraki as visitor. can we avail of the new citizenship law of japan to apply for japanese citizenship or at least acquire a long or multiple entry visa? I am now 66 years old and wanted to meet my japanese brother and sisters who we do not know their names. please help. thank you.

Go to the immigration information bureau nearest you.
They are helpful and speak many languages.
