Onsen in Tohoku

I am trying to decide where I should spend 3 nights in 3 separate onsen ryokans in Tohoku in October. Can you please help me prioritize from "best" to "not so hot" onsen towns: Furofushi (on the Resort Shirakami train route), Oga, Ginzan, Tendo, Zao, Naruko, and Akiu? Thanks.

Thanks, William. Ginzan Fujiya looks nice but out of my budget range. I'll explore Kusatsu as a possibility.

I loved Naruko Onsen. We bought one of those multi passes and I've never visited so many baths in one day as in Naruko. ^_^;;
