Your 14 days JR Pass wont pay off under your itinerary. I advise the following itinerary using 7 day JR Pass.

Tokyo -(activate JR Pass)- Hakone - Kanazawa - Miyajima - Kyoto/Osaka(finish using JR pass and buy JR West Pass, Kansai Thru Pass or 1 day ticket in Kyoto/Osaka) - Kansai Airport

Koyasan is not served by JR and thus JR pass is useless. You can get there by Kansai Thru Pass or some discount tickets on Nankai Railway

7 day, it is... 2008/8/19 10:48
Thank you so much for your comments. Ifve decided to go with the 7 day JR Rail pass and possibly a Kansai thru pass. Ifve also adjusted my itinerary as follows.
Day
0 Flight to NRT
1 Tokyo
2 Tokyo -Puroland (donft judge)
3 Tokyo -The Great Buddha of Kamakura
4 Tokyo
5 Hakone -ICHINOYU ShinKan http://english.ichinoyu.co.jp/index.html
6 Takayama
7 Hiroshima
8 Hiroshima -side trip to Miyajima
9 Koyasan
10 Kyoto
11 Kyoto
12 Kyoto
13 Kyoto
14 From KIX
For me, this is an aggressive schedule. I normally stay in one location for at least a week. Just to put things in perspective, my last vacation was 5 days at the beach; touring consisted of walking across the street to the market place.
