3-day Bus Pass but using 2 days...?

Thinking of buying a 3 day bus pass for N.Kyushu (Sun Q Pass) but it states it must be used on consecutive days. Now, if I use it day one, not on day 2, and finally on day 3, do they know or care as long as it's used up over 3 days?
I still make a good saving if I can do this.

Consecutive days only means you can not select any three days, but after first use it is this and the next two days. It is oK not to use the pass on the second day.
