Documents needed on domestic flights 2008/8/18 16:30
Hi! Next month I will be travelling to Hokkaido (from Osaka) with JAL. Is the gaikokujin touroku shoumeisho enough to board on the plane or I would better take my passport too, just in case?
Thank you.

Internal flights 2008/8/18 17:02
Matteo,

Unless you are a Japanese citizen, you are required by law to carry an alien registration card (or passport) at all times while in Japan. However, neither are required to be shown when flying on internal flights - just as you don't show anything when travelling by train.
