I plan to visit Shirakami Sanchi in late October. Is there a public transportation that runs from Hirosaki on the east side of the park to Juniko on the Japan Sea side? Is there a way to get through without renting a car?

I also go there in October, but I will be renting a car. There is no direct bus from Hirosaki to Juniko. But you can take trains from Hirosaki to Juniko Station, from where there is a bus to the lakes. The bus ride is only about 15 minutes.
