Places to stay in Tokyo with Snow Gear 2008/8/20 12:53
Hi

Does anyone know a good place too stay in Tokyo for about 2 weeks if we are looking to live on the cheap but have snowboard gear and not worry about it getting stolen?
There is going to be two of us looking to share a place.

Any advice?

Thanks!

I was hoping for less the A$50 (5000 yen) per person per night....

Hotel in Tokyo 2008/8/20 20:33
For 2 x Yen 5000 you will already find a double or twin room in a business hotel. For example: http://www.star-hotel.co.jp/newstar.html
If you are ready to spend Yen 16 000 you can have a twin room at the Shinagawa Price Hotel North Tower with daily breakfast buffet for two included. To get this rate join the Prince Club International first.

In both ( or similar ) hotels you have your own room where you can leave your snowboard gear.

and Peter didn't say that your gear will be safe if left in your room/under the bed. Goodness knows there won't be much room to leave it anywhere but under the bed. The only thing I never leave in the room when I'm out is my laptop. Japan is pretty safe when it comes to leaving things laying about. Fact is if you just left it all on a railway station you could go to lost property on the way to the airport and get it back....free storage :-)
