Hi
I am looking for hotel with good location for shopping, eating and easily accessible to train station, but also hoping for a big room. Can someone advise whether New Hankyu or ANA will suit my needs better?
Thank you.

Location wise, Hotel New Hankyu wins hands down. It's attached to Hankyu Umeda Station (terminus) from which you can access Kyoto and Kobe in 30 to 40 minutes, securing a seat. JR Osaka Station is a couple minutes' walk, nearly attached there as well. Reviews: New Hankyu: http://tinyurl.com/5uyckaANA Osaka: http://tinyurl.com/5fm7r2

Hi optimistk
I read the same reviews from asiarooms. generally for Hankyu the location is good but always commented that room is too small. We are very big size and sleeping with our kid, so I worried that the bed will not be enough for us.
For ANA, the comments seems that room is good size, but not sure if location is good. I don't mind if it's just 5-10mins walk from the main train station.

did you Google the New Hankyu own site? www.hankyu-hotel.com/hotels/19osakashh/index_en.html the single beds look like the ones in Toyoko inns, 4 ft (120 cm)wide. the double may only be 4 ft(150 cm) wide. If you go to the New Hankyu right opposite the entrance, left of the airport limousine waiting room, is the entrance to the Hankyu sanban gai, a 400 stores,2 floors underground mall. Theentrance to the Hankyu Umeda rail station is there too.

I'll be on 4-d trip to osaka, planning to stay at New Hankyu Hotel Osaka. Does this timetable means I can still catch a bus at 11pm ( http://www.kate.co.jp/pc/e_time_table/e_time.html) (Osaka time) from airport to New Hankyu Hotel Osaka? It seems the last bus is after midnight? Just to be sure so I don't have to sleep in airport on my first night. Since I'm arriving late, I want to get to my hotel fast, what is the best method? (I supposed bus is cheaper but longer hour?) 2) I'm looking at New Hankyu hotel Osaka rate at http://www.asiarooms.com/japan/osaka/new_hankyu-hotel-room.h..., what is Semi Double room, anyone knows? Thank you. Thank you.

New Hankyu is a GREAT position, but the rooms were SO tiny ....if you don't like smoke INSIST on a non-smoking: we asked, but STILL ended up in a smoking room: it was most unpleasant..this time we are blowing the budget BIG time and staying at the Granvia: figured we could put up with New Hankyu again if only for 2 or 3 nights, but not the 8 we have this trip. Enjoy.

Ok thanks for review. I would like a bigger room hotel and hopefully near Hankyu Umeda Station. Can you recommend me? Thank you.
