Traveling to Kyuushu

I plan on going to Japan in November and will be visiting Kyuushu starting with Beppu and ending with Kagoshima. Which is the best/easiest way to get to Beppu?
1) Fly to Tokyo, then fly to Oita, then take bus or train to Beppu
2) Fly to Fukuoka, then fly to Oita, then take bus or train to Beppu
3) Fly to Fukuoka, then take train to Beppu
What about the easiest way to leave Kagoshima? Take a train from Kagoshima to Fukuoka or is there a way to fly from Kagoshima to Fukuoka?

It depends on where you are coming from!
Oita Airport has direct international flights to/from Seoul.
Kagoshima Airport has direct international flights to/from Seoul, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
Fukuoka Airport has direct international flights to several destinations in Korea, China (incl. Taiwan and Hong Kong) and to Manila, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Singapore and Guam.
