How long of a drive is it in KMs and time.

Both, "Mount Fuji" and "Hakone" refer to spacious areas.
For example, it takes more than half an hour to drive from Fuji City south of Mount Fuji to Kawaguchiko Town north of Mount Fuji. And again more than half an hour to drive from Kawaguchiko to the 5th Station.
Likewise, it takes more than half an hour to drive from Sengokugahara in northern Hakone to Yumoto in southern Hakone.
So, for example, it takes roughly one hour to get from Kawaguchiko town center to the Sengoku intersection in northern Hakone. You can cut travel time a little bit by using the toll road between Kawaguchiko and Subashiri.
