Yes. There are lots of things to see in Kyoto. And even if you were to get bored of Kyoto, you have the option of lots of interesting side trips from Kyoto.

Plan to stay 2nites in a ryokan @ Kyoto.Any ryokan to recommend?

If you have a big budget, I recommend the Tawaraya, the best city ryokan I have ever stayed at:

Any hotel to recommend to stay in Osaka,Kyoto & Tokyo?

The Ritz-Carlton in Tokyo and Osaka are some of Japan's best western hotels:

Make more sense to get a JR kansai 4 days pass?

The JR Kansai Pass only makes sense if you do lots of traveling between distant sites in the Kansai region. It does not pay of, neither is it useful for just city transportation.

(5)Any bullet train fr Kyoto to Tokyo?

Certainly:

I can recommend the New Miyako hotel in Kyoto and the Shinagawa Prince hotel in Tokyo, both hotels are located near a JR station, have nice, clean and normal sized rooms. The price is also ok (about Yen 13000 a night)

It seems to me it's a little on the long side. A day trip to Himeji, Mt Koya or Nara would be nice for a change.

This site has good selections.

I don't think the four-day pass would make sense to you. You might purchase a voucher for a one-day pass for a trip between Kyoto and Himeji, otherwise you don't need it at all.

You might consider purchasing the Kansai Thru Pass instead if you head to Mt Koya. JR doesn't cover the area at all.

Official timetable:

It costs 13,520 yen in a Nozomi reserved seat p.p.
