Typhoon Sinlaku 2008/9/17 03:54
I don't know that much about typhoons, and I have been following the typhoon Sinlaku in media. I will be arriving at Osaka, traveling from Europe on the 24th of september. Will it be over by then? Is it likely to come another one in the following weeks do you think?

Typhoon #13, as it is known in Japan, is currently close to the Okinawa Islands. It is expected to run over the Japanese main islands over the next 3-4 days. It should be gone by the 23rd. Here are the details:

There is currently no other typhoon in existence, so it is unlikely that one will be following directly after typhoon #13. But it is impossible to predict typhoons over more than a week or so.

Tropical Storm 2008/9/17 11:16
Sinlaku has been downgraded to a tropical storm and by the time it gets to Osaka it should be a tropical depression. It should also be clear of Honshu by the 20th.

There is an area in the Central Pacific that has a fair chance of developing into a cyclone, but being so far out in the Pacific, it will most likely never make it to Japan.
