A few general questions

1.We will land at Japan (kensai airport) at 3.10. We plan to:
3.10 - stay in Osaka.
4.10 – from Osaka to Koyasan and stay their overnight
5.10 - travel from Koyasn to Nara and eventually sleep in Tokyo.
We thought of buying the Surutto Kansai 2 Day Ticket for the last 2 days. Should we consider buying the Surutto Kansai 3 Day for Osaka as well? How much will it cost to travel from kensai airport to Osaka? BTW, we do have a JR pass but we don�ft want to operate it yet. Should we consider also buying the free Koyasan Free Sabic pass?
2.Should we book tickets in advance for the JR? Can we book in advance before we validate it ? can we book in advance online ? in general, do we need to just shoe the pass or take a ticket before each ride?

Yes, I think the ticket would pay off if you were to use it to get from the airport into Osaka and then for the round trip to Koyasan.

It is either Surutto Kansai or Koyasan Free Sabic.

It won't be a particularly busy day, and many trains are likely to have reserved seats available up to departure time. But for peace of mind, I personally would make seat reservations a day or a few hours before departure.

Can we book in advance before we validate it ?

No. But you can validate the pass at the airport upon arrival and then make the seat reservations.

can we book in advance online?

Not in English.

in general, do we need to just shoe the pass or take a ticket before each ride?

Just show the ticket when you travel by unreserved seats. Make a seat reservation in advance at a ticket counter when you travel by reserved seat.
