Iriomote or Miyako?

Looking for a nice relaxing place to end a long vacation in Japan, culture + gorgeous beaches. Do the beaches on Iriomote compare to Miyako? We want a quiet tropical paradise to put our feet up. Any suggestions?

Unless you are also interested in jungle scenery, make it Miyako.
