Hello everyone.
Will be flying into KIX on the 28th/10 @ 17.40 and flying out 12th/10th @ 18.35.
Will be activating my JR pass on the 31st in kyoto(because there is no use for the pass in kyoto)
Is there any routes I can take using JR pass for overnight trains(chairs not sleepers)as much as possible. I do not mind where I go as long as I get the most from my pass and cut down on accomm costs.

Rebecca,
I was at Kyoto on 30 Sept and activates the pass on 1 Oct. I took the night train KITAKUNI which arrived Kyoto at 00:02 and travelled to NIGATA. You know have to go to Nigata. You can always transfer to the stations before it and turn to Tokyo instead. Also remember to book yourself a sunrise seto or izumo on the last night of your pass to save another accommodation.
