JR rail pass 2008/10/9 21:41
When I reach in 'hyperdia.com', I found 'Izu Exp.' train. If I use JR rail pass, can I use this train?

Punnee,

That depends... While Izu Express (Izu Kyuko in Japanese) is a non-JR company, some JR trains use Izu tracks, so it is possible to use the Japan Rail Pass by paying a supplement. If you can give exact details of the trains you are looking at, someone might be able to give a more precise answer

Actually I have plan to stay at Izukogen. I found that I need to transfer the train at Ito station and take Izu Exp. to Izukogen station. Then, can I use JR rail pass to take this 'Izu Exp.' train? or I need to pay addional fare?
Thanks
