Can I use the subway/metro to travel through Osaka Kobe and Himeji?

Osaka and Kobe each have their own, separate subway networks. Himeji does not have one. The three cities are connected with each other by Japan Railways (Osaka-Kobe-Himeji), Hankyu and Hanshin Railways (Osaka-Kobe) and Sanyo Railways (Kobe-Himeji).

For subways in Japan please check www.urbanrai.net click on Asia, then-on the map of Japan--on the different towns. besides Subways the site give also info on monorails and AGT (automated light rail transit)
