Budget hotels in Osaka and Tokyo

Hi!

Me and my brother are travelling to Japan the 24th October (I know we are late with the preparation), we are staying there for 2 weeks (staying in Osaka for some days, then tokyo then back to osaka again probably)

I've only found one good hotel in Osaka but many people complain about the neighbourhood (homeless people, trash lying around etc)
the hotel (hostel) is called Business Hotel Chuo New Annex
Have anyone tried this place?
And what about the neightbourhood?

the budget is ~24$/night p/p (could be a little more)

Oh, we would also like japanese rooms, not western :).

So if anyone know a place to stay (hotels, hostels, anything) in Osaka and Tokyo please tell us about it :)

I stayed at the hotel and the neighbourhood is fine. It is very safe. Also in Tokyo there are hotels around minami-senju that are cheap and reasonable
