Is anyone studying or planning to study japanese on a long term course in Tokyo? I`m British and currently staying in Japan on a tourist visa. I want to study japanese full time over 1 - 2 years, starting ASAP. Can anyone recommend a good school in Toyko? Ideally not too far from Tokyo station. Help!! There are so many schools I don`t know where to start.........

http://www.naganuma-school.or.jp/Try inquiring with this school - it's in Shibuya. I know at least two people who have acquired quite solid Japanese proficiency, starting with learning at this school full-time. It's been a while since those acquaintances of mine attended it, and I have heard that their teaching method/original textbooks have changed (of course) over the years, but you could try :) You can also get an idea about the application procedures and fees as well.
