Nagano to Kustasu in November?

I have read several websites that indicate it is possible to travel from Nagano to Yudanaka on to Kusatsu but have been unable to find any details. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Do the buses run in November?
Is it possible as a day trip from Yudanaka area?
Is it also possible to stop at Manza Onsen or Shirane?

Hi Amy,
Upper area of Yudanaka is a Shiga-kogen ski area. Route 292 is a road from Yudanaka to Kusatsu. And a part of Route 292 from Kumanoyu to Kusatu will be closed during winter seasons, specifically from beginning of Nov until End of April.
So you cannot travel from Yudanaka to Kusatsu during winter.
I'm not sure between Manza onsen and Kusatsu. This is heavy snow area and during winter there are no buses.
So I think you should decide one place to go.
