Bus & subway service in Kyoto

From Tofukuji Temple, i plan to take JR back to Kyoto station before take bus to Kiyomizudera.
Is there direct bus/subway that connect Tofukuji Temple to Kiyomizudera? which is the fatest way to avoid traffic jam?

From Gion, can i take city bus #12 direct to Kinkakuji mae?
Or it is better to take the subway to Kitaoji (from Kyoto station), then tranfer to bus service? which is the fatest way to avoid traffic jam?

Which is faster way to travel from Ryoanji to Arashiyama? Bus or Hankyu arashiyama line?

As i have only a day to spend in Kyoto, time is the major factor for me, but taxi is way to expensive.
Appreciate your advise.

Kyoto City Bus No.207 and 202 connects Kofuku-ji Bus stop with Kiyomizumichi Bus stop directly.

They seems to run on a circle line, so dont take a bus in the wrong direction.
