No. Particularly access to Kawaguchiko takes more than two hours from Odawara. And the recommended place to stay for a visit to Hakone is inside Hakone at a ryokan with onsen. A low budget choice is the Kappa Tengoku: http://www.japanhotel.net/kappa/

Hi Uji,
If I go to fuji five lakes,do you think where I can stay for one night?By the way, I travel by myself, if possible please let me know if any hostel available to suit my low budget.
my plan is Takayama, then Fuji five lakes 1day,Hakone 1day,then Yokohama 1day,then Nikko 1day,then go to Kansai airport.
many thanks

Following two places seem to be good. They are used to having foreign guests and you can get a lot of information there. First one at Hakone, second one at Kawaguchiko of Mt.Fuji. http://hakone.syuriken.jp/YH/0/E/index2.html http://kshouse.jp/fuji-e/index.htmlAs many people living in Tokyo want to go to Hakone/Nikko in autumn, it is very crowded on Sat/Sun. I recommend you not to go there on weekend. Especially never to Nikko on beautiful sundays. I myself usually make one day trip from Tokyo and do not stay there. If you leave Shinjuku at 7:30am(or earlier the better) , you can easily go around Hakone(Kawaguchiko is not included) and return to Shinjuku at 6pm.
