I really like the movie Swing Girls. Its about a group of girls (and a boy) who try to make a Jazz band. Hope that helps.

If you like classic Japanese films, titles like Sanjuro, Sansho The Bailiff, Harakiri, Life is Short, Sixteen (maybe it's fourteen) eyes, Kwaidan, Harp of Burma and Rashomon are great. And there's always The Seven Samurai!
