Ouchijyuku and Inawashiro 2008/12/24 04:26
If you are in the area, do not miss out the lovely village of Ouchijyuku

Also worth a visit is Inawashiro-ko. If you are there in the winter, you can feed ducks and swan on the shore of the lake.

Is Ohuchijuku very near to the Yunokami onsen? Is there a bus service that go there? This is the place I thought of visiting. Possible for me to stay there instead of Yunokami onsen.Trouble is I don't understand Japanese.

From Apr. to Nov. there is bus connection from Aizu-Wakamatsu. During winter months, you have to take the train you mentioned before to Shimogo/Yunokami Onsen and continue the journey by 10-15 min taxi ride.

There are ryokans there, one that I read about is called ‘ĺüK‰Ž. They do not speak English and has no on-line booking. Your best bet is call ahead from Aizu-Wakamatsu with the help of someone who speak Japanese (the place you are staying or the tourist info. counter inside Aizu-Wakamatsu JR station). Their phone no. is 81-241-68-2003. They charge 7350 yen per person for 1 night stay with 2 meals included.
