hoping to be on Mount Fuji

dont want to climb to the top just be on it 26th April 2010. .any advice on the mountain or japan would be greatly appreciated.thanks in advance

The mountain top is covered by ice and snow in April. You will require proper skills and equipment for climbing and spending a night with extreme wind conditions in the ice.

It seems Terry just wasnts to be on the mountain, not climb it. You may be able to go to the fifth station (about halfway) by bus, but it is also possible the road will be closed. Mt. Fuji is not as impressive when you are on it in any case as you can't see its distinctive shape.
