Hi
Is it possible to hire bicycle and cycle around tourist attraction points?
for example cycle around Nara or Kyoto sites?
would it be cheaper, or easier to move around (end of march)?

Hi As I have said in the subject you can definately hire a bike in Kyoto. Here is the link: http://www.kctp.net/en/rental/index.htmlI have done this and found it a great way to get round the world heritage sites. I have have visited Nara and not seen any hire bikes. I just walked everywhere.

It's a great idea to cycle around Kyoto. It's very popular way.
As for Nara, yes, a rental cycle is also available. Many tourists just walk around Todai-ji, Kofuku-ji, Kasuga shrine area just because it is feasible to do so.
From central Nara to Heijo Palace Site, Nishinokyo area(Yakushi-ji and Toshodai-ji) and Horyu-ji area, bycycling path is available. Get a map online or at tourist infomation office in advance.
