Advise on 7 days JR pass

With 7 says JR pass,we planned as below.
Day 1&2-Tokyo
Day 3&4-Kyoto/Osaka (JR)
Day 5&6-Aomori (JR)
Day 7&8-Morioka/Hachinhe(JR)
Day 9 back to Toyko(JR) any better suggestion on day 7?Any advise on cheap & good location hotels ?

The itinerary involves lots of traveling. Especially the train ride from Kyoto to Aomori is very long. Over 7 hours. But if you don't mind, it is a doable itinerary.
