I am going to be in Japan for a 12 month internship coming May.
I want to know what recommendations people have for banking services in Japan.
Anything to look out for?

This is FAQ.
The answer is check out Citibank or Shinsei Bank first, unless you have any specific reason to avoid them.

I'd look into the postal bank as well. Their the only bank that truly has branches across the country, and their atms operate in English too.
