I will be visiting Tokyo on Oct National Holidays Oct 12, 2009, would you please advise what is open and close on that day. Thanks.

Offices and some government operated facilities, e.g. Tsukiji Market, will be closed.
Virtually all shopping and tourist facilities will be open.
