JR 7 day pass is calculate by hours or just day count??If i start use JR 7day pass on 16 Mar in evening, does it expiry on 22 Mar or 23 Mar in evening?

It is valid on calendar days (midnight to midnight). If you start using it on the 16th it expires at the end of the 22nd.
(special rules apply if you are on board of a train when the pass expires at midnight)
