Osaka during Golden Week

Hi,
I'm plannig a trip to Osaka from April 24 to May 2 and I'm worried about the Golden Week. Are places crowded on April 30 and May 1 in Osaka? I'm thinking that I would go to see the main sights before the Golden Week starts...

April 24/25 (a regular weekend), April 29 (a national holidays) and especially May 2-6 (this year's core of the Golden Week) will be very busy days for attraction related to sightseeing, shopping and entertainment.
The other days should be less busy.

my friends will also be coming at that time.
i have advised them that osaka will be ok but to stay away from kyoto at that time.
i think osaka is big enough to absorb the crowds and indeed many osaka people will be heading out themselves.

In Osaka, avoid the aquarium and Universal Studios. Popular shopping malls, such as Namba Parks, will probably also be very crowded.
