What way to travel in tokyo? 2009/2/27 05:08
I will be in Tokyo for 18 days in the first half of April. I have my plain tickets, and I am still deciding on my hotel. What would be the best way to travel? For trains and stuff, what are the best/most affordable passes? I will be traveling all around central Tokyo. Thanks!

I recommend the NEX & Suica package, which consists of a ride from the airport into central Tokyo by Narita Express and a Suica card. The Suica card is a prepaid card for virtually all trains and buses in the Tokyo area:

When to buy? 2009/2/27 10:13
Do I need to buy this before I go, or do I buy it when I get the the airport. Its reserved isn't it. So, don't you have to buy it ahead of time.

You just buy it at the airport and make reservations for the next suitable train departure. The Narita Express trains almost never get booked out.
