Should we purchase JR Rail Passes?

My husband and I are taking a short trip to Tokyo, April 18-24. We'll be staying mostly in tokyo, and prehaps a side trip to Kamakura and Mt. Fuji. Would it be economical to purchase rail passes for the two of us? Thanks!

Certainly not! The Japan Rail Pass only makes sense if you travel long distances.
