weather in late may

hi guys, was wondering what the weather in japan would be like in late may and early june? i'm leaving for japan in the last week of may and it's my first time so i'm not sure what kind of clothes to bring, how it compares to sydney weather etc. i don't want to bring the wrong type of clothing!

The weather will differ greatly depending on where in Japan you are travelling.
You can check typical temperatures here, but don't understimate the humidity from June onward.

thanks for your replies. taking in mind the humidity, what kind of clothing would be appropriate? if it were 25 degrees here in sydney i could get away with wearing long sleeved clothing. i need to make sure i bring the right things to wear. and does it really rain much in late may and the first week of june?
