Tickets to hiroshima from Osaka

My parents are going to japan in march/april for 7 days. They are going to Osaka and Kyoto. They have also considered a day trip to Hiroshima. Is it worth buying the Sanyo rail pass for this trip? I have thought about getting a 2mai-kippu or trying to get a toku-toku ticket from one of those side shops for them. Does anyone have any suggestions as the best way to go about it for them. Or the cost of the discounted tickets? Does anyone else know of any other train specails for around that time?

If all they are doing is going to Hiroshima then IMHO maybe its not worth it: 20000Y for 4 days is roughly the same as a Nozomi return trip [20300]: the Sanyo Pass WON'T get them to Kyoto. If they are thinking of another day trip say to Okayama or Himeji etc then maybe its worth it
