Hiking in Mt. Fuji

I'd like to have hiking in Mt. Fuji in coming July, here are some questions, please kindly give me some advice.
1. I knew that there are 4 routs to Mt. Fuji, which one is easier and more convenience for less experience hiker?
2. We need to stay one night uphill. Do we need to reserve the hostel in advance and how can we do this?
