Hi,
I don't think it's a problem but I want to be sure...
Making a trip from Tokyo-Kyoto-Tokyo at one day. Taking a Shinkansen in the morning and in the evening. Is it difficult to get a seat (reserved JR Pass) ?
The trip is for seeing the cherry blossoms in Kyoto in the first week of April.

No, it should not be difficult, especially not if you make the reservation a few hours or even days in advance.
