My groups consist of 7 people. Due to cannot find a bus from Kawaguchiko to Kawaguchiko 5th station, I'm thinking about find rental car that has 7 seats drive to Kawaguchiko 5th station.

Yes, it is a toll road called "Subaru Line". Depending on snow condition not the entire road might be open, but I think in April this is usually not a problem. This winter, in particular, saw not much snow.
